TOPIC: Marketing on Business Cards

Marketing on Business Cards 10 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi, sorry to bother people but my associates and I are having a debate for which we would very much appreciate some input from other people with marketing knowledge.

We are an SEO company and we are including the following on our business cards:

"Get High Up On Google!"

Now, I said that I think this should go on the front of the card, below our company name, with some level of prominence. It describes exactly what we do without having to put lots of lists our services (which we decided against).

The others say that it's not a flyer or an advert but a business card, and so it should go on the back with the contact details.

My argument is that hopefully that very statement would encourage people to turn over to the back to access our contact details... and if they're seeing it on the back, then they're already looking to contact us so it would be wasted there.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Could you not have it as a shadow in the background that is transparent on the fornt of the business card. This would mean it is a little bigger to see and would gel in with the rest of the design of the card.

I hope this helps

You have probably printed them by now but hope this helps someone else.

I'm my experience who doesn't turn over a business card and look at the back? So what is the problem?

I do hate it when I am given a piece of promotional material as a business card.

I would say maintain integrity but make good use of the cards to help remind people what you do. Don't shout it at them you have just told them what you do that's why you are handing them a business card!?

Different shaped cards and using both sides or even ones that fold out are fine (all be it they don’t fit in a business card holder) it is important to think about what you are saying about your business when handing over a card.

We produce magnetic business cards.
Your clients can then attche your business card to fridge, filling cabinet, computer etc which then gets seen every day for years to come. One of the most cost effective forms of long term advertising.
We also produce magnetic bookmarks which can have your business details on, a great cost effective gift that your clients will find very useful. We recommend these instead of compliment slips which just get thrown in the bin.
