Twitter – what is it

Twitter is a social networking and microblogging service that allows users to send and read short, text-based posts. Each “tweet” is limited to 140 characters and typically answers the question, “What are you doing?” You can choose to “follow” the tweets of other people and allow them to follow you.

Twitter – The Benefits
- Communicate with your audience (customers and those interested in your product)
- Respond to queries and negative/positive feedback on your company/product
- Track what people are saying about you
- Keep up-to-date on industry news and developments
- Get feedback on new products/ service changes
- Increase traffic to your website and/or blog

I have a Facebook page for my business and I'm sure I saw something about being able to link my Facebook page to a twitter page - which would mean (I THINK) that its possible to maintain the facebook account and the twitter page be automatically updated.

If so that would be great as I'd be getting double the exposure for the same amount of effort. Has anyone tried this - or even heard of it?

I have done this for a page I worked on it should have a link at the top, and it's very simply FB should guide you throuh it. You can also get your FB personal account connected to it I have friends whos tweets come up on my FB news feed.

Try Hootsuite it manages all acoounts at the same time

If you Google it it really does work we use it here at UKSMF and it drives lots of traffic

It can also marry up with Ecademy accounts and digg, linkedin etc
